In the heart of South Khorasan Province, in the village of Asfak, a 400-year-old caravanserai named Asfak welcomes you. This historic complex, which was restored in 2017 and converted into an eco-lodge, offers you the opportunity to live in traditional architecture and enjoy the nature and culture of the region.
This caravanserai, with its authentic traditional architecture made of mud bricks, gives you a sense of living in the past. The beautiful views of the desert and distant mountains, combined with clean and calm air, turn your stay into an unforgettable experience.
The caravanserai has 13 rooms and 4 suites, accommodating a total of 80 people. The rooms are designed as 2 double rooms, 9 five-person rooms, and 2 six-person rooms. These rooms do not have private bathrooms, but guests can use 3 Iranian toilets, 1 Western toilet, and 2 shared bathrooms. The suites are five-person and each has a private Western toilet and bathroom.
The caravanserai has facilities such as open parking, English-speaking staff, local guides for visiting attractions, a public kitchen, dining hall, and heating system (electric heater) for your comfort. Due to its high altitude, air conditioning is not needed, but a table fan will be provided if requested.
You can enjoy delicious local dishes such as Qoruti, Kashk and Bademjan, Bulgur, Dizy, and Chelu Ghujeh by coordinating with the staff in advance.
